The Great Collapse
*

This song is not in a battle

This is a remake of an old tune. It has quite an intense history, the making of the original, but by now it has evolved into a filmic "storytelling" of some kind, about two seekers who could be lovers, who fall prey to nihilism.

Special thanks to Ramona who provided female vocals, give her a cheer.

... And cover your ears!

Also Happy Brthday and all the best wishes to you from me and the family.

Great song (what else) and big emotions there. Mystic ending. very cool

Can you imagine to produce a video with Ramona based on this story? She did a very good job.

btw
is she nice?

You had me from the beginning with the amazing intro. I love the distant and echoing vocals

The beat was pretty constant throughout the entire song and it would have been awesome to see it 'climb' to a big climax near the end.

Really enjoyed this piece!

Thanks

A video? It was tricky enough to get her do vocals, she has no prior experience with being audio-sampled, thus, hearing herself back. Listening to your own voice on record does take getting used to.

I'm pretty sure I can't get her to act in a video clip, no matter how nice she is! haha!

Thanks, I had thoroughly tested the pre-mix through a big P/A with the volume set on "Deaf"
I have some other mixing ideas, and will probably do another version of this song in the future. I'm really really happy with the way this one worked out though.

It seems, it was as good for you as it was for me, then

Thanks, I did experiment with some beat alterations, but couldn't find anything satisfactory. I do however keep some of those ideas for a future version of this song.

cheers!

OK lets try a few more words this time....
This has everything an excellent PX track is.. Raw energy, distortion, screams, pounding rhythm, depth .... width, it's sexy, it's evil, it's dirty, it's deep wisdom.

It's all the wildest bits of Yello and gone way beyond ....

Good funky bananas matey !

Agree about the beat ... you have cut it back in one part, it could do with another cut/softening/tone/thud somewhere .....

Great collapse
And compliments especially to....Ramona,..
Perhaps she also can play keyboard,..
That would be some...col lab between
Like the length,../ the story like repeat atmosphere /dept / variation.
Good job
