Grab bag of riffs
*

This song is not in a battle

I'm sick tonight. (Nasty head cold.) So no singing for me.

Sat down to practice guitar. Ended up throwing together a bunch of assorted riffs and thought I'd toss her up on the old BandAmp.

Instead of using my Diezel + Palmer for recording this one I thought I'd give the Guitar Rig software I recently acquired from Native Instruments a try. I think it turned out really well, actually. Stereo tracked the guitar and lightly compressed it- but otherwise did very little to its sound.

It's funny when I get a cold I tend to play better (except singing if blocked-up) , I suppose it's because your body and mind become relaxed to heal itself.

Sounds great Brian, can't fault the sound and mix of the guitars, and superb riffs at that. This could easily be used in some kind of thriller movie, the changes in riffs complimenting different scenes.

Look forward to your next completed song with NI

That´s some complicated and sophisticated riffing, wow! Short, but sooooo powerful.
Didn´t miss a voice. (But I can image yours here, of course) Coz it works very well as an instrumental piece.
And the "Guitar Rig" sounds absolutely powerful, authentic. Everything´s spot on. Compliment.
