It Was Always You

This song is not in a battle

Second song with my new band!

I wrote the lyrics, vocal melody, and played acoustic guitar in this one .

Not quite finished, looking for some ideas for improvements! (is the lead too "mental" maybe?)

Let me know what you think!

Your vocs are improving - keep it up

The electric guitar is OK, but the mix need some work.

Drums sound flat, boost mids and trebles
Work on the panning of acoustic
Put a de-esser on your vox, perhaps add some echo (no repeats style) or a little reverb, or double track using Haas effect.
Bass guitar needs raising in the mix, this will soften the electric guitar a bit and give a fuller sound overall

The band may sound better coming in at the 1.20 mark

Keep working on it, has potential

really nice song!
the intro is long, it might get more interesting with a little (spare) arrangement in the background?
Ending could be more clear/ worked out for me...
guitar could use some EQ/mixing treatment, vox too, drums and bass also..
most important: the song has a charm!
Produce it as it deserves, maybe ask somebody else to remix ,with a fresh ear..?

I´d give same advices as mentioned above by Denis and Max.
You wanna know if the lead is too mental ? If you mean ´weird´, crazy´ , ´unusual´ I´d say : No!! Fits very good. In my taste. He´s a good guitarist and he should show it.
You guys are on a good track.

This song has great potential, even though the recording is a little raw- it doesn't really detract from my being able to enjoy the music.

And again, I love your vocals. I'd love to get it in my vocal booth here and play around with some double tracking and maybe some harmonies.
