Takes Two (vox) |
In collaboration with: | cojo |
Music - Denis
Lyrics - cojo
This was originally an instrumental, cojo liked the music and came up with some lyrics. I uploaded this a few weeks ago, but have pretty much re-recorded everything adding real Bongos and real Tambourine
I watch the boat coming in across the bay,
Who knows who will be on board, and walk my way,
The sun reflects off the blue sea all the day,
I wonder if she will see me, what she’ll say?
(Who knows)
Will she hold me tight?
Will she share the night?
Will she hold me tight?
Will she share the night?
I serve her wine, it is chilled and soft to taste,
I see her eyes and her walk, it’s full of grace,
The time is right, here and now, too good to waste,
I wander by, catch her eye, now face to face.
(Who knows)
Will she hold me tight?
Will she share the night?
Will she hold me tight?
Will she share the night?
And once again, here am I,
And once again, here are you
And what it is, well who knows?
But what it is, takes two
The evening comes and above the moon is high,
We talk and dance and together wonder why,
I look at her, she at me and then we sigh,
Because we know, all of this will pass us by.
(Who knows)
Will she hold me tight?
Will she share the night?
Will she hold me tight?
Will she share the night?
And once again, here am I,
And once again, here are you
And what it is, well who knows?
But what it is, takes two
