welcome "techno Denis"   another side of you , i am amazed
not sure the sounds u use are that R&B, but i dont care much for that,
its how much you want to go into the genre and its formats
personally i'd change the base and snare to a more 'dance' style
i just get a sort of 'swingin rock with a spacey sauce' feel and i enjoyed
the gtr sound is a little cheap to me, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt (for me!)
damn, im being harsh again, had a fun listening, and enjoy the genre, whatever name is on it

EDIT at 05:35
its still running in loop mode!    must say i like that gtr sound better now, it gives a bite

Good to see you experimenting in other genres.
Thisone has a nice relaxed vibe and flows in a peaceful way. In places I´d add some melodical parts in form of
synth leads or similar.
Also I think an electronic drumkit might suit the style better in addition to some FXs here and there will keep or improve the tension.
It´s a good fundament, so build ya house on it.

Hey this is fun Digging the synth sounds, and the song has good movement to it.

Do you plan to add vocals to it? Reminds me a bit of Alpha Conspiracy. Something like the vocal-style they had on "Close" would be awesome.

I did actually try to find a electronic kit on what I have, but did not like the sound.
Can anyone recommend any quality sounding ones?
Cheers

What software do you have? FLStudio comes with a fair few electronic/techo kits and samples. Cubase has a couple (but I haven't been too impressed with those honestly).

I've got both FL & Cubase, Haven't tried the Cubase.
Ah I do have a Roland JV-1080 synth module, I could try, I believe Roland Electronic sounding drums are favoured by many, at least that's how it was many years ago, I know their electronic drum kits are the best and some of their old stuff is still used and even collectable.

I saw the description and didn't click on it for a few days because I generally don't like electro.

But haha this one conjures an image of endless spiralling into something or hovering in the air / zooming around aimlessly...

I liked it!

Oh wait I clicked submit and I just noticed the title. An apt one!

It's 2 AM here and I'm feeling a little sleepy. The atmosphere is perfect. It feels gooooooood to fly hahaha

Definitely not RnB though hahahahahaha I wonder what made you think that. The drum sounds in lieu of dance sounds definitely weren't a problem for me.

Lol.. the Drum sortware Groove Monkey desribed it as RnB - plus I'm over fifty, not up-to-date with modern phrases

Don't tell me you don't know what's RnB

But now RnB has come to mean other stuff though -------- it's more like club...........

Besides, you may have used RnB sounds but the music isn't RnB. (He plays it like the metal guitarist he is while she plays it like a... goddess haha)

Like how this isn't classical nor flamenco nor anything assiociated with nylon guitars :

But ya I know what you mean of course

well I wouldnt call this R&B, this is Soundscape, wavy and flowing - indeed dreamy as the title suggests. I like it a lot. Even though (a lot) less techno, feel-wise it reminds me of some things Massive Attack has done, or even Future Sound of London. This is purely based on the atmosphere of your track. Me I'm indeed more a fan of less is more, which makes your track very effective in my ears. I like it! Please experiment some more with this! Throw in some (female) vocal samples (looped lyrics) run through filters or some other distant movie samples or so... Many possibilities

So I've heard version 4.... now to comment (quickly) on the first version.
Very impressed with your ability to create new techno style music in the first instance Denis.
This one is less Chicane and more... erm, actually it's still Chicane like.  They also do remixed version of their tracks with slightly different instrumentation.
I think V4 works better as a dance track though.
Yes... PX has it as "soundscape" music - I agree.  All the advice you followed from this first post seems to have been picked up in the 4th version.
(well, that wasn't a very quick comment was it!)
