We've let Brian out of the closet to strut his stuff at this one on his Tenor Sax. He shows off a bit because he has more money than us poor fellows. He plays a Jupiter 587GL Tenor Saxophone but we must admit he can play a bit.

yes very nice sax but indeed, the backing comes off a bit bland in comparison to the liveliness of the solo. That is mostly a matter of mixing, put a bit more spark in the guitar, a bit more thump in the drums, a bit more boom in the bass and that's all it takes (i think). but again, nice sax!

All said above... lack of dynamics in the backing - sax is clear, well played and lively.  Could almost have been played and recorded in a different place.

But it's all competently played, and well arranged.
