It Was Me
In collaboration with: paganscradle, cojo
*

This song is not in a battle

Collaborated with Colin Jones (lyrics) and Paganscradle (vocals).
Swordie's Mrs. Sue is also going to sing her version.

Like the first sounds of the dawn, since the day that you were born,
It was me.
And the day you first walked, and the sounds when you first talked,
It was me.
And when you sang that song, and first knew your right from wrong,
It was me.
And those times we heard you laugh, at the spider in the bath,
It was me,
When the wind blew in the night and you needed holding tight,
It was me.

The friends that you bought home, you were never on your own,
It was me.
If you felt a gentle touch, when the world got all too much,
It was me.
And when the cold it turned to warm, from the frozen icy storm,
It was me.
The hand that wiped your eye, when the children made you cry,
It was me.
The voice that called you in, when the evening light grew dim,
It was me,

I saw these thousand moments it was me.
It was me.
The one who really loved you it was me.
It was me.
Theyll always be just ours because youre with me.

And The days when you felt dark, I found you lonely in the park,
It was me.
Hungover from the nights, when we saw some scary sights,
It was me.
The dreaded school exams, that dictated lifetime plans
It was me.
The first holiday alone and the empty part of home,
It was me.

You know that in the end when you think of your best friend it was me.

Welcome to the amp, cojo!
Good to "see" you here "in person"  coz I /we like your collabs with denis you did recently.
Talented writers & musicians are always appreciated here. Seems that your work with denis has inspired him a lot after a time of "block" of motivation and inspiration. ......... Reanimated.
Now the old "steam train" is running better than ever.

have a good time!!
