Back to the Seed
*

This song is not in a battle

Back to the Seed: http://soundcloud.com/iszil/iszil-back-to-the-seed (don't listen to what's on the BandAMP player)

Lyrics:

The walls woke up and rose
Portraits hanging in their frames
The roof climbed back to the top
The house stood tall again

The mess surrounding them
The shards once broken and lost
Were joining their pieces again
Fixing what chaos destroyed

The pale old man just moved
After an endless still
The woman's cheeks once flooded
Now felt dry and clean

The beards of the dying candles
Climbed back to their shining heights
The man exhaled a breath
And finally opened his eyes

Letters turned back into ink
Tall trees lost few of their rings
Lust grew inside him on more time
His woman made him feel like a man

Girl, I need my time
To know I'm not just a man
Freedom is my guide and goal
I can hear the wind's call, call, oh call

I need my space, leave me alone
Don't talk to me, I'm in control
I'll be in my room, don't need the sun
I'm a grown up, now I understand

Mom is here, I'm not alone
I have no worries, she's in control
Birds are singing, I see the sun
The world is pretty and I feel fine

Don't need the light
Don't need a name
I don't know cold
And I don't know pain

Here there's no time
Here there's no shame
Me and the universe
Now are the same

Now are the same
Now are the same
Now are the same

Hope you enjoy.
Cheers.

You´re coming closer and closer to what you´re aiming at . The instrumental parts you´ve added are ´delicious`.
The end is a succeeded solution of different suggestions which were made in the recent reviews .
From what TK said abaout a "decent" ending to a classical fade-out you and others prefered .
Really a great compromise .
The chant : : Mmmmhh.  you´ve sung very well , no doubt . But I think there some steps to go  to represent
ya vox strong  and powerful in the mix . Have you tried out a dynamic tool like an ´expander `or ´compander ` before?
Or what about doubling ya vox in some parts ?  Or some counterparts ?
And  perhaps some EQ-polishing to give it a lil more ......ahem..?? substance .....body.....depth....."into-the-face"
....hard to explain , but I´m sure yanno what I mean .
Next step awaiting  U . L . I .

Thank you guys.

@ULI: You are right about the vocals. I didn't spend much time mixing them, to be honest. An improved version will go in the album release, harmonizations included.

Cheers.

Nice lead riffs kinda along the lines of Pink Floyd

Wow, long song lol. It is pretty cool though. I want to just mention something about the end. It fades out...I'm not much for that. At 15:39 is the exact point where it should end. It has faded for a few seconds to this point anyways. But, what makes the difference is is that having the longer fade is anticlimactic to a pretty intense piece of music. At 15:39 is a single piano chord struck and that is where it should end. It would leave the listener slightly shocked and wanting more...even after 15 minutes lol. The fade is predictable and doesn't add much to it while the sudden finish would add to its sense of mystery.
Try it out.
Great work. I love it.
Peace

Now I found the time to listen to the whole track. I am really impressed how you found a way to place lyrics and vocals into your work.
Musically there is now doubt about the composition, arrangement, recording and performance and skills. This is pro and shows many influences to me
I hope you can find a way now to place the track in the music scene. And this I say as a fan of you

Oh wow. This is something beyond my pay grade. So I am not even going to attempt to make any suggestions. But brilliantly done. Loved it.

I like very much. I couldn't get on Soundcloud for some reason to listen to the full song.
