Just a quick record session, on a song I am writing. I haven't been able to play the ACguitar lately so I am rusty at AC guitar.

HEY RUSTY..........
just nice 2 here u bak up on bandamp...
Feels to me like driving in a cabrio through landscapes of blooming fields , the wind in the face ,the smell of
spring in the air , the warming sun on the skin.. Beautiful and peaceful mood. I´m interrested to hear it as a full arranged and instrumented piece.

Wow! pretty impressive piece here....very pretty melody, fantastic use of open chordal structure, spiced with beautiful harmonics. The guitar has a particularly rich tone - I'd be interested in knowing how you achieved that....really nice!
Thanks. The tones were easy to get. Cheap Silver Creek Acoustic with Elixer 11025 custom lights (brand new just played on long enough to get the stretch out). Sitting down in my desk chair in my office/recording room. A good condenser mic (AT4047) set at the 12th fret slightly angled toward the sound hole for a tad more low end. Mic runs into a Focusrite preamp, into a Motu 2408, into Cubase. Some takes that were real close to identical, then a couple more that were a little looser playing, then one more that was even more loose.
I did it like that because I was reading about some of the guys multi tracking guitar parts. They said sometimes it's cool to not play the exact same thing, but to change things up slightly for fuller effect. Also set the E.Q settings on each track differently, different effects settings (comp and verb), and a little panning.
Since I have been using Cubase for a bit. I have quite a few templates set up. The templates have most of the effects , tracks, effect channels, group channels (if needed) already set up for a decent starting point.
