During the Aftermath by Isaac Sloan

C G Am F C G

C
Seems like only yesterday
F                       C
That I was living in the city
G                        F                           C        G
Back before they all burned down that day
C
The ashes fell around me
F                       C
As I climbed out of the subway
G                                 F                        C         G
When I saw you there it took my breath away

You stepped out of the shadows
With a far away look in your eye
In the silence I could hear your breath as it fell
I walked (or strode) up beside you
And I whispered "it will be ok"
Then you took my hand I knew this wasn't hell

[Chorus]

Am             C
The orphan kids make
F                                   G
mushroom cloud shaped snowmen
Am           C                           G
As we lay close together in the snow
Am                C
If those cities hadn't burned
F                    G
I wouldn't have you
Am                  C                            G
And I promise that i'll never let you go
F        G        C
Never let you go

You light my day like the sun did
Which is good cause it never shines
And your body keeps me warm in the freezing air
the snow falls through the roof sometimes
The fire flickers but we don't mind
I smile and brush the crystals from your hair

[Chorus]

[Bridge]
C        Em  Dm  C  G                      Am
These feel..ings we feel, love never dies
          C   Am  G   F                         C
These feelings we feel, they keep us alive (these)

Chorus]

Reminds me a bit to Billy Joel & Jim Croce .
You created a  really good built-on & soulful song for lovers.
Love the mood you´re transporting with this.
I hope the person you´ve dedicated this song feels as you do.
Sound quality is also fine .       Good job!!

I love the Bridge, I like whats hapennig with the Bass, it supports your vocals and sounds great

It's a well worked song, the structure is great, production is very good

The vox break up in a few places, I think it's breath control, you may want to practice singing long notes and try keeping the sound as even as possible, which will help you to control your breathing. I like you vox tone.

NICE JOB

That keep us alive......for a while!     Love it.
Really amazing production.
I pick up so many influences and reminiscents that it earns it's own stripes through and through!
Very good.

Superb, man!
The production is just perfect. The composition is really good and the arrangements too.
Great job. There's nothing bad I could point out.
