Yeti scalp

This song is not in a battle

A fretless bass is a very special sounding instrument.

More than 30 yrs. I dreamed of playing one. On xmas last year I made myself a gift, so I composed this little piece of  īlounge music` for my new fretless beauty.
Enjoy & chill out.

I like the instrumental parts, perhaps a bit too much going on though.
The drums is a real no no for me, as you have so much going on in the mix, less effects would significantly make the sound transparant, not just the drums but all instruments.
Well that's my opinion.
Yeah I too like a fretless bass, a bugger to play well, which you have done.

gotta agree with Denis on the drums, they are too "big" sounding, too heavily processed, but I get what you're aiming at, atmosphere wise, in this tune. Yet it is a bit saturated with sounds, so it feels like having tasted half a bottle of whisky instead of just 1 glass

but, the musicianship is apparent, so well done on that part.

Very well put together..I think for the most part the arrangement is good.I think some tight compression on the kick would give some room for the bass to gain some clarity.I would also maybe do some playing around with phase inversion on the bass to maybe see if it fills in the track bottom end without loosing the solo aspect of it.Great performance.

The drums are pretty cool. Very funky! Especially once it added that little bell... and with the bass right behind it!? That is the essence of funk!  haha. But personally maybe some of the synth parts don't fit with the rest of the song. For instance the xylophone sounding one's....

Still a really cool song. Keep it up!
Oh, and the guitar solo was rad!!

Great sound. As mentioned by others, I would consider a more stripped-down version of the drum track with less effects.

Also would accent the midrange on the bass a tiny bit to make it cut through a bit better (gets lost in the mix sometimes).

Great sound and composition! Keep on rocking.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere you created.  The pads and music added some sort of foggy anticipation of what's the come around the corner musically.  I like the drum work the way it is but some reverb would have been fun
