This song is not in a battle

Maybe a fitting title

From our band UMF (Underdogs, Misfits & Failures)

The song has changed a little since we recorded this version but the essence is all there.

Ohh the quality.. Isn't the greatest ofcourse. It was recorded during a rehearsal session with a multi-input device to laptop.. Seperate mics on everything, but all done in one room. My ears were a little bleedy when I mixed it down ... Eventually there will be a new and decent recording ofcourse but for now this will have to do.

Hope you enjoy!

Love your style as usual, punk for punks sake.
It must be your raw rhythm that makes it such raw energy.
I think the vocalist would come over better in a bigger space, technically I find it a bit odd how he holds and pushes the DisapeEaaAar, if he could hold that note/word and put a 'granulated' reverb effect over the whole track I think it would bring it together better, he seams very clean now compared to the raw guitar and bass.

"Give me some air to breathe" comes out really well.

Looking forwards to seeing you live!

I know it's always difficult to record a band live, even in a rehearsing studio... but with mixing this tune you did a great job here. The only thing I'd change is to increase the volume of the vocal in the verses. The chorus is incredible.

I think it's a great composition too. The bass guitar really rocks in the last few bars.... "So!"  haha

Wow! I'd be very proud of this if I were you! This absolutely rocks! Great bass work on your part (solid, great tone, totally in the pocket, great use of variation). The guitar tone is absolutely wicked! Vocalist has a ballsy, tormented voice (I only wish I he was a little higher in the mix, a little wetter, but I realize it's live...it's actually pretty good for a live shot). You guys sounds like serious contenders these days...no wonder you're gigging so much....

Nice PX. I can feel the power for sure. I have to disagree with you about the recording. It sounds cool to me. I'm loving the Bass a lot...nice one PX

Heh thanks

And thanks for the suggestions, next mixing job I will most certainly play more with effects to spice it all up a little - certainly the voice deserves more spotlight. Our vocalist is gonne love reading your comments
