Yeah, I might scrap the entire song, and record something new..Lyrically I mean. The lyrics were done really quickly, and without much creative thought. I just wanted to get some vocals down for the music to get 'early feedback'.

Being repetative is OK so long as you make it interesting, which you can do with the music.
Perhaps work on the vocal melody/varied expression, introduce some harmoney.
I think pop thrives on repetativeness, simply so that people can join-in
