It’s in the battle 2010-03

This is a song we wrote almost a year ago that we just finished recording and mixing. We are very pleased with how it turned out, and we hope you'll like it too!

LYRICS

VERSE 1
What have you done
How can you do these things you're doing to me
What did you say
How did you change everything that day
Why don't we all
Just fly away to search for something better
Why do I stay
Is this the price that I have to pay

PRE-CHORUS
But today I'm gonna leave it all to the past
'Cause times are rough and life is cruel these days

CHORUS
Nothing that good could last forever
But sing for the days you hope will come
What have you done
What have you done

VERSE 2
What have you done
You turned to me and left my heart in pieces
Why do I stay
Is this for real or a game we play
Where did you go
You ran away to find and claim your freedom
Just let me know
Am I to blame for your drama show

PRE-CHORUS
Today I'm gonna leave it all to the past
Cause times are rough and life is cruel these days

CHORUS
Nothing that good could last forever
It disappears like windblown sand (From your hand)
What have you done
What have you done

BRIDGE
(Woooah woooah ooh)
(Woooah woooah ooh)

VERSE 3
What have you done
I'm sick of games for all your private pleasures
I have to go
Well in the end I will let you know

What have you, what have you done?!

Perfect!
Are you guys already popular in Sweden? Any radio playing your music? Because if the answer is no, then they should be playing it!
You have all what is required to become big.
Great job, as usual.

Really awesome, high production values on this one. It has a lot of punch and dynamism. Very well thought out. Nice focus on studio sensibilities and mixing. Very well played. I'm very interested in how you got that tone on the bass.

That said, the general lyric and melodic composition strike me as unmemorable (I know I'm being really hypocritical here ).

The best part of the song, melodically and thematically, is the bridge.

I like it.. nice energy.  I like the fact it's not a dark song.  Pro mix,  sounds professionally done (studio?).

I liked everything except the short harmony vocals.. they don't sound natural,  re tuned ?  starts and stops sound sliced, or ramped. .  other than that excellent job very professional I'd love to hear more. .

Thanks!
The bass just goes through the AMPEG SVX vst with some distorion and EQ on it. And in the mix it's highly compressed. And that's about it, heh.

Thank you!
We record everything in my basement and then I mix and master it myself.
Actually just one of the vocal tracks needed re-tuning, so it must be that one you hear.

And to all others, thank you. We will be posting more songs as they get done Peace out
