Stolen Moments - Mix 2 |
The dynamics was crap in the first version, I think I may have overdone the reverb on the Archtop in this version, Which
only came to me after spending a long time remixing, probably too long
It's funny I read somewhere that normally your initial instincts are the best ones to go by.
All the things that I are wrong picked-up by my initial instincts, but I just wanted to push the boat out and experiment.
The question is, how accurate are my instincts, do you think I've over-cooked it on the reverb for the Archtop??

first instincts?? |
hiya's bro... ltns..
my first is that there's not enough of the archtop...
imho, and from my own personal liking, the archtop
is nice and in your face at the intro and extros... but
almost non existent to the way I like to hear one in
jazz songs... not that I think it should over shadow
the other instruments, but they shouldn't drown it
out either... personally, I don't think the verb is to
much on it... boarder line just right!!!
Great little number here! really shows you still got
it bro!! b.t.w., since I first met you, been meaning to
ask, are you a left handed guitarist??? I'm left handed
in almost everything I do, write, scissors, chef's knives,
tools, etc etc.. yet because of what i had avail to me
when i started guitar, I play right handed... not that it
matters either way, you're a killer picker!!! i was just
curious from the pic...
happy holidays and blessings,
Danny

What have you been up to?
Yeah I'm a lefty, accept Golf, naturally right handed.
Thanks for your input
Have you recorded anything of late?
