It’s in the battle 2010-02

Another version of a song I already posted here from my band's last show a few weeks ago. We fixed up a bunch of the harmonies and made the whole thing a little more ambient. Features guitar, bass, dobro, mandolin, and vocals. The recording quality isn't pristine and the mix isn't perfect but it's all there. Thanks for listenin'.

Well David heard a voice and he understood.
The good lord works in mysterious ways
Five foot nothin' with a staff of wood.
The good lord works in mysterious ways

Say hey
Hey
Say oh
Oh
Praise his holy name!
Say yeah
Yeah
Say ah
The good lord works in mysterious ways

Well I know that there's hope for the weakened sinners
The good lord works in mysterious ways
Who strayed from the path on the way to salvation
But the good lord works in mysterious ways

Say hey
Hey
Say oh
Oh
Praise his holy name!
Say yeah
Yeah
Say ah
The good lord works in mysterious ways

Well the good lord works in mysterious ways
Even when you think you're down.
He'll come along and meet you
'fore the devil can defeat you
Dancin' on the water to your favourite tune.

Good to send this song in a battle

just a few days ago I watched a tv report of Montana. While listening to this "country" song the pictures are coming up again.

wow pretty cool song.. I just got through doing a couple blue grass /acoustic country gigs.  I  think I'm gonna jump in full time with them.  They have a lot of gigs and make decent $$ from the gigs.

I love this song.. nice tight playing.. The womans voice fits nicely.  yup Harmonies are still needing a little work.  Sometimes you guys are in and then sometimes your not.

decent sound for a live gig.

good job since it's in the battle I'll vote .

Nice tune!
A better recording would really help, but as you said, it's all there. Maybe some sort of percussion would fit.
I'll vote for this one.

Tough to get a good quality live recording - but this is pretty decent sounding.
Nicely played and sung - yes, there are a few bits where the harmonies could be improved.... but this is a live recording, so actually, they're pretty damn good for all that.

Not so keen on the song - a little repetitive for my tastes.  But an enjoyable listen all the same.
