I like this song lots, but for some reason, I thought the other one was better recorded. I might be hearing wrong, but does anyone else hear very muffled static in the background?

Other than that, the song is great. I don't have a clue what the lyrics mean, but they flow very nicely along with the guitar. Love the guitar and vocals.

Also, another reason why I like the other song better is because it was quite upbeat.

This is really nice. It reminds me a bit of Aux Champs Elysees but that might just be because they're both in French. I'm gonna give the first version a listen and see. I could really hear a short whistling solo around 2:30 if you're looking to put something in that instrumental bit.
