Drinkin for Two-Tara Hall
*

This song is not in a battle

Another live recording with my folk band Tara Hall. This one's a drinking song but we took it a bit too fast. Features dobro, mandolin, bass, guitar, and voice. Thanks for listening.

Drink a round all ye haggard
and damn dirty beggars
and those that have come here anew!
And won't you sit on your ass
And raise up your glass!
'Cause tonight I'm drinking for two.

So drink a round down my brother
And beg for another!
The hour's still early and I've had a few!
They'll be hell come the morrow
An' I remember my sorrow
Oh but tonight I'm drinkin' for two!

chorus

You see my baby's a quitter
But she's here in my liver.
An' every last glass that they brew.
See she told me to leave
Said she found a new squeeze.
So tonight I'm drinkin' for two.

So drink a round down my brother
And beg for another!
The hour's still early and I've had a few!
They'll be hell come the morrow
An' I remember my sorrow
Oh but tonight I'm drinkin' for her!

So drink a round down my brother
And pass me another!
The hour's still early and I've had a few!
They'll be hell come the morrow
An' I remember my sorrow
Oh but tonight I'm drinkin' for two!
Oh but tonight I'm drinkin' for two!
Oh but tonight I'm drinkin' for you!

Yeah, I can see this going down well at any local club or Bar venue, preferably at the end of the night when
every one has had a few!!!
The audiance responded well, but they sounded too sober...lol

Nice song
