Salt Creek (Dance RMX)

This song is not in a battle

My first attempt @ house music (Dance). Sounds like an old "AQUA BOOGIE" label song to me. Back in the 90's when house music was in here in Los Angeles. We had stuff like this in our crates.

I've been trying my hand at house music lately and I'm digging this.

Great progression of instruments.

I like the guitar at 2:38-3:05. Did you record it yourself?

Like it from 1.24+, sort of African rhythm, I love African rhythms.
A female vox here and there would go nice IMO.
Need to finish it!

Well this is nice.

I don't always appreciate house music, but I like this track.

The first half of the track really has a great vibe. Have you ever listened to the gotan project?

That's enough of that, fish.

Honestly now.

BUT.
Very nice track. Felt a tad jumpy in the beginning, but otherwise, loved it.
Great work. :]

I agree. I got the same notification in my e-mail, but the post was gone almost immediately after I checked.

Songwise though, I think this is a great start! I wouldn't consider this a dance track, mainly because it features very "different" instruments that you would normally hear. Then again, I don't listen to dance music very often - my preferred genre is big beat. I loved the arrangement, the beat was very nice. The overall progression of the song was great - I would love to hear more!

(Try taking out everything except bass, rhythm, and maybe one vague melody line. Most techno subgenres don't play too much on having something like a lead guitar.)

Again, good stuff..!
