Like it a lot
Really like this Denis.  Really funky.  What are you using for the brass parts?

It reminds me of the Brand New Heavies.

It actually is very Earth,Wind, and Fire-ish to me.

Personally, I like it without lyrics.
Groovy Denis. :]

Brass is from a Roland 1080 Synth module, used two patches, one was trumpet and sax, the other one was called Brass fall.

Yeah I suppose the Brass gives it that feel, I like Earth Wind & Fire, boy their productions are one of the best

Fabulous sounds again Denis - not sure that it needs vocals.
Love the guitar playing.
Some seriously funky stuff going on here.
A shame about the fade-out though!
But despite that it's Great!

Lovin the Funk!!!!  I'm gonna pretend the fade-out at the end didn't happen haha, but on the whole this has an awesome chilled out groove to it.  Really nice sounding instruments all round, especially considering they are synthesised as you say.  With regard to the vocals, I agree that 'lyrics' or the like might feel outta place, but possibly some sparsley placed samples in a few places would work?  Trying to think of some funk songs that do that - "Spell it" by 'Maelstrom and Napz is maybe a good example (crack 'Jalapeno Funk' into the iTunes store, and it should bring up the album its on straight away if you want a quick 30 second preview).  Just an idea anyway.  Great piece and just what I needed on this awesome sunny summer afternoon after the beach!

Detals:

I wanted to create a good bass line for a funk track, so I set up a drum loop and came up with it.
Initally put down the rhythm guitar after creating the Bass line, it's pretty standard riff which you can hear in a James Brown track.
Created the melody, then added horns.

That's about it

Oh yeah had great fun

Cheers
