Not bad there mate. I like the sounds especially from the keyboard. The recording is excellent. One thing that I think is letting you down could be the lack of dynamics and a a fairly repetitive drum beat. Vocals tend to get a bit lost behind the reverb in sections. Try to emphasize the key changes into the chorus and stuff like that, make them a point of interest. Keep it up champ!
Interesting - I actually liked this tune better than Kaleidoscope, the one you enterred for June. That one struck me very similar to Bruce Springstein, while I think you did well with adopting this one to sound more like the Doors, who I am very much a fan of. Good work. Your recording quality is pretty good over all, but I do agree with a lot of things stavros said. Loved the ending. Rock on man!
The only Doors song I know is 'People Are Strange' I made a point of avoiding their stuff...
I really quite like this tho
well done

Never heard Doors, but a cool song anyhoo . I rekon the beginning bit would make a great ska song! Try it someday
I'd say you definately managed to capture the Doors feeling on this track! It's not bad, but I think the drums let it down a bit. Writing drum patterns can be a pain in the arse escpecially when all you want to do is get down to buisness with other instruments (at least, I always found that), but I think that at the end of the day it makes a difference.

Hey man
I think the production on this track is hurting you the most, it is very flat and not easy to distinguish the instruments, everything is muddled together. I also agree that you should change the drumbeat to add some spice to the song. Find a more appropriate effect for your guitar in the soloing as well, it seems really out of place with all the chorus on there, it just doesn't fit, a raw distortion without much chorus or reverb would do alot for the sound.
