Goin' Home
(about my trip to Arizona to see family)

Waiting for my airplane
with other people goin' somewhere else
it's been a long time since I seen your face or touched your hand
now the line is on the move I'm entering inside the big wing
speeding down the run wayfaster than I could run
it's lifting me...up
I'm goin' home, I'm goin' home

Mountains tremble under me
snow covers these rugged tops
stretching for miles great and powerful fortresses
now I'm standing face to face
as I turn to see you one more time
you took me by surprise when I heard your voice
and recognized your face

Could it be that you're still the same?
with a smile upon your face
could it be your personality's alive and well
well I can tell, everything is swell

solo

You don't have to understand the way I'm leading my life
well anyway, it's so good to see your face
and to touch your hands again
I'm driving down route 66
looking for my next destination
and there you were up on the bridge overhead
our meeting place

could it be our lives have changed?
could it be our age has taken hold?
could it be our friendships still the same
like it was 12 years ago?
it's good to be home
the faces of my home

Now I'm on my way, I'm on return trip
and my family will be waiting for me there
As I close my eyes I hear a familiar voice
and see a Golden Horizon
could it be it's your Silloett?
could it be that it's You?
could it be that Heaven's Gates are open wide
to recieve me inside?
Well I can tell
 everythings swell
I'm goin' home, ......I'm goin' home.

Nice emotion is this little beauty.

My favourite part is at the end of the first verce where you sing 'I goin' home'.

Congrates on getting your first album together, you must be proud.

Lovely song

Right on. The song is a little long for me without breaking into something big. I would love to hear it with more production. Thanks for sharing your music.

You sure love life don't you

The feelings of reunion with both family and landscapes are well transferred via a sure good instrumentation and great lyrics. Very well done, real nice song this!

Listened and enjoyed ...  thank you for sharing.
I can understand why Denis likes the last chorus...I can hear him singing along in there.
It's a long journey but yet when it's over it finished too quickly.

"This is not a one time opportunity but an ALWAYS opportunity."...

TK...it's free, you download the album and album art , burn the CD, make your own cover for the case !

That is not the same, kings. jgv's music is different and I want to have something different in my music collection. I have enough copies of pro musicians or amateurs with copied covers.

i'm a sucker for acoustic music so i love the guitar work on this track. Also, the production is on point, with each inistrument coming into place nicely. The guitar is quite loud though sometimes, and so was the vocals. But its a sweet song. My only minus is the lyrics. Now, I'm no lyricist, but that was one cheesy lyrics you got there..lol. I believe it could have been done a little better, cos the underlying story is beautiful, just the way it was constructed didnt make it sound like a commercially viable track, but i love it..

I can tell the mix is much more up-front. Grt vox and I love the mandolin in the backround. Actually I really love all the different instruments combined! *Sounding Grt!  Thanks so much for sharing.
Ps: I'll take a signed copy as well, if theyre still available
