This song is not in a battle

Just one of those times you get into a jammin funky mood.
It could probably use a remix.... any opinions will be well appreciated.

As I hear it...The instrumentation is great...My suggestions would be the following..
Guitar eq a bit harsh maybe tweak a mids and kill some of the high mids..
More humph on the bass song lack bottom end
There's a high frequency splashing effect or sound that is canceling some of the clarity of the hats and cymbals
I think thats were I would start..
Great playing...

I agree with Marino with pretty much everything he says.

You've got some great instrument lineups here, totally sweet guitar "solo" thing. totally awesome.

overall a great jam. something to show off to your friends you know?

I think I would start with the Drums and Bass, absolutly crucial for a funk track, the drums sound thin/muddy, you probably wont be able to much with the EQ if this is the quality of the Sample. I think the main thing is the snare, it's too soft. Do you have any other way of recording the drums?

The bass may just need some eq in the mid range, raise it, should cut through much better.

Guitar sounds great

Thanks for the critiques... !
I pretty much expected your thoughts on this one.
Unfortunately the only thing I can do with this is re-mix the whole  tune, seeing it was done almost a decade ago.
Thankfully with today's technology I am able to get much better quality.
 Thanks again!

Nice and spacious! I'll leave the eq critique to M and save my ears (if he says it, it is..trust me)  There are some
obvious (to the trained ear) issues.. such as the splash and a bit in the mids it sounds like but other than that I could see this on a Miami Vice soundtrack... it gave me that whole cocaine and sunglasses vibe... If you can dig that.

Definately really cool, the eqqing is harsh though, but the keyboard rhythm backup is put together really well. Yep that cymbal aches! Cool tone, although maybe a bit too much on the effects to do your technique justice.. leave too much effects for those who cannot play as good and need to cover up for their blasphemous bum notes! I didn't hear you make one.. lol

Ok so, cool tune, I guess that's what I wanted to say.
