Sounds like you were having a little fun here buzz.  I like it, that's some nice playing.  You should add some melodic rock lyrics lol, because I like words : ) 

I really like the transition at 2:10, the track is great before that but the subtle shift here adds a little melancholy (to me anyway) which I quite like.

Some nice chord progressions..Cool spacey theme..Maybe develop into a sort of soundscape guitar song..Some flute like pads would be nice too...

Do you mean new ideas, the tone is obviously standard chorus, which I quite like in any case.

Tone imo sets us all apart from others, it's the hardest thing to acheive as a musician. KEEP WORKING AT IT, IT WILL BE WELL WORTH IT.

Take Marino, he has a distictive sound/style in his playing style [I mean his guitar playing.]

Nice easy listening track.
