This song is not in a battle

This is a song of mockery against prosperity preacher.  I am not much of a mandolin player and this is from many years ago.  The lyrics are not intended to be blashphemous at all if you follow the meaning.

Jesus build my self esteem.

Enhance my life, fulfill my dream.

With the magic faith that cannot fail

I will grab Jehova by the tail.

and press the buzzer for the butler,  Oh yeah.

and whistle for your dog

hurry place your orders

I hope he don't take too long

Oh Lord, what have we done?

Did you ever think church could be this fun?

So fat and happy, we keep grinning,

can't see the souls nobody's winning

Its just, pressed down and shaken, spilling over the brim

Hell keeps overflowing,

Is it prosperity or is it sin?

This is pretty cool. I don't feel any real verbeage for a chorus would be needed but perhaps add some heyas or humming or amens and hallelujas to extend it a bit.

This is reminiscent of Barenaked Ladies. It would not seem out of place on one of their albums.

Great work!

Why is it that every mandolin I hear sounds like Led Zeppelin???
Yes it's too short because it's a really nice song, you sing and play beautifully, you could 'stretch out' your poem with a catchy chorus!?

Cool song. Got potential. Maybe break up the lyric lines with instrumental segments to stretch it out a bit.
Beatles wrote tons of short songs.

Despite clipping in a few spots (most obviously at :58), it is a wonderful song. Masterful vocals. Perfect timing and rhythm.
