The Way You Were (4th up)
*
This is the placeholder for a new MP3 player

This song is not in a battle

(Re-uploading for the 3rd time due to playing problems with first 3 uploads)

Just finished this song..

Was a bit of an experiment really - instead of going for my standard guitar, bass, drums instrumentation I went for piano, cello, acoustic guitar, drums [:)] .

Oh and sorry for the vocals if they sound a bit dodgy - I've got a bit or a sore throat today but I wanted to get this song up. Plus I'm getting a new microphone, I know this one's not very good but I've done the best that I can with my setup.

Thanks for listening!

Lyrics (yeah I don't know what the lyrics in the chorus mean either, can someone explain?):

Acoustic Song Lyrics

You've got your head held up so high
That you can't look back down to see
The world that you've left behind you
It's falling out of sight
Your range of thought seems to lie within
This broken democracy
Something there in the back of your mind
Kept you hanging on

Chorus

And I always think that
Lying on this side
Lying on this side
Is hard to beat
And I always think that
Lying on this side
Lying on this side
Is hard for me to beat

These rules and consequences
Will pass you through these lonely days alone
You'll see me walking down that road
But I can't stop to listen
Why don't you think about the ways
That you might have lost me my dear
There in the back of my mind
Something kept me moving on

Chorus

And I always think that
Lying on this side
Lying on this side
Is hard to beat
And I always think that
Lying on this side
Lying on this side
Is hard for me to beat

Bridge

Tonight she lost her chance to say
She lost her chance to make it right
I don't know why she cannot leave
I don't know what she wants to be

Chorus

And I always think that
Lying on this side
Lying on this side
Is hard to beat
And I always think that
Lying on this side
Lying on this side
Is hard for me to beat

I swear
There was nothign wrong with any of them. I almost always use 320..  so it wasn't that.. It had donthing to do with it.

It was simply something was screwy with your puter.. I aint kidding..  THe other day I couldn't get any music to play on Bandamp.. I had to close it all down, and reboot.. then it worked... Something happens with the flash or java or whatever and it srews up..

I heard that crappy uploads.... horrible!

but not that music... man you created one of the most beautiful songs on BandAMP

lying on this side means a lot to me... cause I can't even be on one's special side. It's empty somehow. But I know why it's freezing some time. here and there and here too

Great work here, it has a 'air' to it, nice emotion.

I feel like getting my flute out and playing along.

Cheers
