This is a song that Bret wrote and i tried to come up with some music. this was done in one or two takes ?

I think its a really cool song....needs work! .........It needs more music, simply more instruments.
The clean guitar sound works in parts but I think most of it needs a more raunchy rock sound, not only to carry the tune better but to also give your man something to really sing with.
He's got an excellent voice, a touch of Eddy Vedder in this style.

Listening again...the guitar is too soft and too close, sounds like it's coming out of a little 50w amp., the vocal is crisp and positioned well.
Cant you play / process the guitar through something like Guitar Rig 2 ?

Vocals excellent - great delivery, good timbre to the voice.
Song itself is a little disappointing as it doesn't really go anywhere - perhaps additional instruments would help, but I think it's not dynamically interesting enough.  Add some sort of break, a bit of harmony, and the extra instruments and this could be a great sounding song.

Really nice vocals.  Strong feeling and emotion.  Simple guitar.  good work.  I felt like I was relaxing with a drink and nothing to worry about or do.  Haven't had that in a while.

this guitar sound happens when you send the guitar signal directly to the mixer or soundcard w/o preamp. That's why you should use an amp and pick up the signal with a microphone to the mixer. the voice is really really excellent and fits this genre.

I like the idea and the vocal melody is nice , it flow well with the guitar chords. some production stuff but over all it's good. I think the vocalist did a very good job .
