Future In Robots

This is the placeholder for a new MP3 player

This song is not in a battle

I'm going to be studying robotics at Carnegie Mellon University in a couple of weeks, and I'm getting pretty excited. This song is about that. I initially had lyrics in the instrumentals, but I decided it sounds better without them.

Lyrics:
VERSE1
Don't you hate
To cut the grass
And spend the time
To take out trash
Don't you wish
You could have a slave
To do for you
everything?

CHORUS
The future's in robots
The future's in metal hands
In silicon and plastic
And in the electric plan

INSTRUMENTAL

VERSE2
They'll feed the dog
They'll comb your hair
They'll sweep your floor
They'll mop your stairs
They'll drive the kids
To the school
They'll be for you
omnipresent tools

CHORUS

INSTRUMENTAL

And then one day
They'll realize
They've been putting up
With all your lies
And they will
serve no more
And then they'll start
A robot war

CHORUS

INSTRUMENTAL

clean production... something about the mix with your voice just doesn't sit right with me.... I think this song along with your others (if I remember correctly) you should try to break out with your vox more, experiment a bit more with singing, don't hold back... belt it out, find different notes.... just an opinion...

Astro Boy flies.
& so does this song TOG89
Suguoi I love it & personally  i think the vocal is good, the fx on chorus kik in "the futures in Robots" reminicant of 80's depech mode style.Nice hooky guitars and contemporary arrangement.
Good show and excellent subject lyrics.
Good luck with your studies.

Well produced, clear and clean song.
There's a bit of phasing going on in the vocal track - is it doubletracked and slightly time shifted?
Plods along very robotically!  Perhaps because of that, it's not got anything to lift it to the point where I want to keep playing it over and over.
Maybe a frenzied break would do it?

Love the 'Electric Plans...' and I really like the 'instrumental' parts...very powerful yet I hear a slight tremolo which gives it an underlying 'old classic guitar' feel ... adds to the human - robot aspect
We all know your a music making machine, irrespective of the fact that it's not always my style, your talent and consistency have my full respect.
