Shouldve Seen It Coming.

This song is not in a battle

(Acoustic Version)

Hi everyone

Here is a song written and performed by my mate Kerry Smyth, who I think has a brilliant voice and I really like this tune. I insisted that she let me record it this afternoon (lol) so here is what came out.

Please let us know what you think about the song and the recording, and if you enjoy it please check out her myspace

Peace.

Pluck through your chords and descend from the highest note, Aieee! Great little technique that sounds awesome!

Yeah thats a sexy voice. I was expecting more awesome dave uk stuff, But I guess this awesome track will have to do. Her voice is distinct. Usually when I hear chicks singing they all sound the same to me unless they're extraordinary. I dunno, maybe its some minor fluxations in her accent - its pretty fuckin' awesome for sure, mate. Thanks for sharing!

Much love mate.

I wanna  hear more tasty Dave Uk though!

Not enough low end in the recording.

Other than that, damn! Was waiting for the harmonies to kick in. Listened to her live version on her myspace too.  Nice to listen to a refreshing voice.

Yup the voice is great.  Not so keen on the guitar sound (but love the chord progressions).
All simple sounding but very effective.  Harmonies excellent.
Agree with aa0j about the bottom end being missing from the recording - too much high from the guitar too.
But hell, this is a decent song.

[Edit] As I posted this comment, my 15 year old son called out "Dad, that's a nice song - I really like it.  It's quite catchy".  So there you go

Decided to dig this one up and comment on it, since I never did, way back 8 months ago :P

Absolutely amazing.

There, I left my comment This song (and the others on the myspace page) display a great sense of melody.  Nothing about the flow of the songs feel weird.

Your recording of this song really shows just how someone (and their song) can shine.

Thanks for sharing.
