It’s in the battle 2008-08

This was recorded in a spontaneous fashion down by a Lake In British Columbia, Canada. The vocal and guitar is spontaneous and the rest was recorded later, some in my van, some outside and inside the house. It is my only acoustic rock song thus far....jgv

Cloud Rider
(a spontaneous recorded by a lake)

I can see His Face
coming in the sky
and in it all I can see His robe
His train
He is coming across the sky
in whispers of lightning
and in the four Winds I see His Face
I see the Face
the Cloud Rider, the Cloud Rider

He will take this Nation by force
in the Light and Love that He carries
He is riding on a White Horse
Ohhh...and I know the Face of the One I sing to
and I know that He hears me
My God, He is mighty to save
My Lord, He is the Righteous One

Chorus
Cloud Rider
He's the Cloud Rider
Cloud Rider, Cloud Rider from the North
(stretchin' Hands in the Four Winds)
(riding sound and fast
across the sky)
oh...He's comin' for His Bride
Yeah...yeah the Cloud Rider
He's the Cloud Rider
riding on the Sky, Mighty Savior
He's the Cloud Rider, He is Mighty to save
He's the Cloud Rider, He is Mighty to save
He is Mighty to save

searchin' with His eyes to and fro
never missing a beat
never missing a sound
never missing a heart
yeah, He's Mighty to save
Mighty to take all of your life
Don't be afraid
He's not Religion, He's just a Relationship

Chorus 2
He's the Cloud Rider
ahh...Mighty to save
 He's the Cloud Rider
extending from the Four Winds
He's the Cloud Rider
Rider, Rider, Rider
right into your heart
He's the Cloud Rider

wow every song seems to get better and better. I really liked this one.
It reminds me a lot of a local band called Floater they rock so that's a compliment.
I liked the mix of instruments.
If you mixed it down a little more I would love to add this to my playlist.

Listening..again
Heres another who really likes this one. I like it a lot as it is, an epic production yet with a shamanistic live roughness about it. Very Niel Youngenesque !!!
Really love the percussion , the bongos and then the power drums.
I do agree a little with anodyne "If you mixed it down a little more I would love to add this to my playlist." But I'm going to put it in mine anyway, because I think it has it as it is!

mmmmmmmmmmmm................... very cool. I really like the percussion in the begining it adds a lot to the atmosphere. Your voice fits for this song, you know deep voice, dark and mysterious in a way. And the subtle lead guitar. The dist. rtm gtr. later adds the song but i think it can be improve by mixing or having it go along with the bass in my opinion. The aco. gtr sounds great.

This is wild. Very raw sounding.

Quite clean, yet somehow... quite grungy.

1:45 is a great spot. Great buildup.

Overall good concept and execution.  I would prefer to hear this one as a purely acoustic track.  What kind of drum are you using for the big one?  This has a BC native flavour - it's nice.

I love the raw and power this song has. you cant help but pay attention to it. I say leave it as is. I prefer not to have top studio quality major label cd sound because they edit stuff that sounds like a mistake but if you listen to it more times you come to love those "mistakes" and will never be able to recreate them again. Makes me want to get the war paint and grab a spear. Lets Hunt!

cheers!

So far, I like this one - love the development and dynamic changes that occur throughout.  Excellent vocal delivery - just bordering on the manic wailing, but very effective.
Drums good in this one, with great variations in percussive sounds.
All good as far as I'm concerned.
An enjoyable listen.
