Yes , goes on, doesn't kick in.
Very nice melody though.
You man on the vocals comes in a bit hard on my ear , and a bit too high , he should start lower and give himself more room to move.
Really like the 'one chance' harmonies.

very nice..  I does feel like it should kick in around 1:29 with bigger orchestration. 
The guys voice sounds like it is real nice .  I feel like the eq is just a bit bright (tinny ) might be just from the effects though.  voice needs some eq work , lacking some much needed mids (lows mids especially) doesn't sound full and round.  The chord progressions are excellent and the song works for me even though I do here more of a Elton John style big build up with lots of back ground vox and orchestration building the song up even more.

nice job though..  great playing  and the singing is very good.  just production fix 
gets high vote.
