This song is not in a battle

Experimenting with double-D tuning for that extra "bigness" on the guitars. I initially  tried yelling the verses, but it  didn't sound very good and just made my throat hurt.

Lyrics:
CHORUS
I want to leave it behind
Those things in my mind
Those things that I hate to remember
And I want to erase
My memories replace
Forget the human race
Forget the human race

VERSE 1
They won’t leave me alone
The people
The faces
Embarrassing places
When I look in your eyes
It reminds me of the times I’ve lied
The times that make me shudder
Thoughts of my past
Thoughts of days last
Days I was stupid
Things that I said
They haunt me
They fill me with dread

INSTRUMENTAL BRIDGE

CHORUS 2

VERSE 2
When I think them I twitch  and I crawl
And I bang my head against the wall
I wish all these thoughts
Would shrivel, die and melt away
But they’re not leaving today
Yet I hope it anyway
I hope to forget it all
I hope something will hit me from the sky
So I’d get amnesia
And these thoughts would die

CHORUS 3

Great vocal, the chorus is nice too, lead guitar  melody and tone very nice.

Need to either raise the drums or raise the upper mids and treble, The rhythm guitar and bass tones clash,
could try taking the lower mids and bass down on the rhythm guitar, should blend better.

Nice job

interesting, definitely adds a new dimension to your sound..you have a bit of Midnight Oil angst in your vocal every once in awhile..I'm glad you didn't yell the verses, singing gives it a nice contrast and makes it less predictable and familiar sounding..when you say double d tuning do you mean drop d tuning...as in the low E dropped to D..not nit picking just curious..never heard of double d..well unless were talking about something else...

lol, i presume its the low e and the a strings are both tuned down to d... dunno.
its certainly sounds big. i love those drums and bass in the verses. im not sure what to suggest to better it, so i'll just say  a very good song all in all.

The tuning is DADAAD. Not conventional at all. I was just messing around with tunings to find something that sounded cool.
