Am I the Only One?

This song is not in a battle

I made a major change to my mixing technique with this song. Instead of routing all the drums through one channel and programming them with one midi channel, I made a seperate midi instrument for each drum, which allowed me to mix each drum on its own. Whether this sounds any better is is up to debate.

I really like the chorus of this song, but couldn't come up with any interesting melodic lines for the verse.

Lyrics:
VERSE 1
I see him talking to you
He rubs your leg with his shoe
You tell me you’re just friends
But I don’t believe it
I can see you in the hall
He’s got you pressed against the wall
And that’s cool
That’s just fine
Answer me one thing
Answer it truly this time:

CHORUS
Am I the only one?
Am I the only one?
Am I lonely one?
Inside your life?

VERSE 2
Are you excited?
Do you feel whole?
is your life spinning out of control?
He’s probably better than I ever was
I bet he gives you a buzz
Don’t think I didn’t notice that glance
It was like you were in a trance
And that’s great
That’s just fine
Answer me one thing,
Answer it truly this time:

CHORUS

VERSE 3
Maybe I’m just paranoid
Maybe I’m insane
Maybe all this asking is in vain
You can’t understand the pain this makes me feel
Maybe all of this stuff isn’t real
I’m sorry if this comes off weird to you
I just want to know
I need to know truth

CHORUS

Nice Groove....Really like the chorus as well..I do think the mix benefited from the technique you used...I also agree/think the song could benefit from a more interesting vocal melody in the verses...love when the instrumentation drops out and just leaves me with that beautifully distorted guitar riff.....Some clipping throughout here as well...not a big deal just thought I would mention it.Good job.I like your style, are you sure your not Canadian? EH? LMAO

Ditto the Chorus, very nice,

Drums sound OK to me.

Just think if you lower the reverb on the vocal so that it has the same reverb level as the music, I'm pretty sure it will blend better.

Nice Job

Much better production.......I agree with Denis i don't think your voice needs that much verb on it...The chorus is a real tasty hook. The snare sound is not that appealing but it works!....!Great job....nice harmonies.
