This song is not in a battle

Shakespeare fans will catch this allusion. I've been humming the chorus in my head all day before I decided to record it.

I am not happy at all with the vocals, but pretty happy with the rest.

Lyics:
Down to the river collect
Another flower for me
I know you’re crazy
But you’re saner than I’ll ever be
Up in the branches oh what can you see?
Fifty petals twisting in the breeze
And you’re singing
You’re singing out your final song
And you’re climbing
Oh I know it won’t be long
And you’re reaching
Tough you know it’s too far
And you’re reaching
And you’re starting to fall

And you’re floating there
With petals in your hair
And you spin and you choke and you float and you sing
“nani na na nani na na nani na na”
And you’re floating there
With petals in your hair
And you spin and you choke and you float and you sing

Down in the castle just give
Everybody a rose
There’s no fighting, just peace
and it grows
I’m so sorry it had to come to this
Collateral damage of my fist
So innocent, yet you’re so insane
Oh well, it was such a shame
And you’re reaching
Though you know it’s too far
And you’re starting to fall

And you’re floating there
With petals in your hair
And you spin and you choke and you float and you sing
“nani na na nani na na nani na na”
And you’re floating there
With petals in your hair
And you spin and you choke and you float and you sing
“nani na na nani na na nani na na”

A rosebud’s drowning in the waves
She’s thinking of her father’s grave
And there’s petals
Swirling ‘round, sinking down
And she’s choking
In her own white gown
And if you listen
You can hear her humming still
And if you notice
Her sweet song so shrill
So very peaceful
Swirling ‘round, sinking down
She’s disappearing, humming , drowned

I am aware of sloshy, as much as I dislike being associated with their UK-earlyemo stylings

the chorus is the best part, i think   I do like it very much.  It feels like it was more contemplated than the verses (which is pretty much the case, as you said that you were humming the chorus all day :P )

I think it would be even more interesting, melodically if there was an extra airy vocal layer put over the chorus, an octave higher that your own melody.  At least over the "na na" parts.  That'd be really cool.

Very nice recording-- you're good at that.  I can't think of anything to tell you there :P  You've got a great full sound when you record.  Props to you on that!

The "na na chorus" is brilliant
But I would like to hear a voice that hits the tones
What about doubling the voice and pitch it one octave higher at some parts?
Drums are flat and synthetic but nice programming. A real drummer would bring more specials in that
