The Perfect Monday Demo |
Recorded without chris...
Corbin does both guitar parts. I had to show him the slide part though.
I did vocals and drums...
This is a DEMO so there will be more unexpected instruments popping in and out as well as a bass and maybe a keyboard part.

that slide part sounds really buzzy, and probably a bit out of key from the rest of the song. It's in a different key than the rhythm guitar and the vocal... not by much (I don't think) but enough to cause dissonance. Try pushing it up a half step or two and make sure it's got the same sharps and flats in its chords.
I do like the rhythm part a lot though, and the drums fit the tone pretty well. The ending was a little goofy, with the reversed echo'y fade, but altogether I think this could go someplace pretty easily, with a little more time and attention. Like you said, it's a demo, so it's by no means done.
most critical thing to tweak right now, I'd say, is the sliding part. It probably only needs to be modulate up a fret or two before it sounds more on target. Keep posting the results as you work with it, for sure!
