The Beginning of the End
*

This song is not in a battle

I know there are rules against cover songs, but I was hoping you could make an exception. This is my version of Nine Inch Nail's "This is the Beginning of the End". All transposed by ear from the album, I was able to emulate most of it except the noise solo, which I replaced with guitar improvisation.

Lyrics:
Down on your knees
You'll be left behind
This is the beginning
Watch what you think
They can read your mind
This is the beginning
I got my mark, see it in my eyes
This is the beginning
Well my reflection I don't recognize
This is the beginning

We think we've climbed so high
Up all the backs we've condemned
We face no consequence
This is the beginning of the end

You wait your turn
You'll be last in line
This is the beginning
Get out the way
Cause I'm getting mine
This is the beginning
There are some ones that can help themselves
This is the beginning
May be too late as far as I can tell
This is the beginning

We think we've come so far
On all our lies we depend
We see no consequence
This is the beginning of the end.

I don't know the original but it sounds good to me.I love the timber and tone in your voice.I think the stereo split on your voice buried your vocals a bit.Nice drum sound and guitar sound.Lots of mid high frequencies crashing from what i can tell.Maybe less volume on the guitars would help.Anyway good job!

I like it

Vocals are cool, I like the performance and overall production.
Guitars a fat but perhaps a tiny bit loud and a little noisy, I agree with the colliding frequencies that Marino noticed so I think some EQ work would help.

In all a good recording and perfornance; just think it needs a little extra attention at mixdow for clarity of the various elements and a little more oomph to the bottom end at the mastering stage. The kick drum is entirely buried.
