Cynic

This song is not in a battle

A song about..uh...cynicism.
Very much inspired by the late '90s-early '00s postgrunge band Puddle of Mudd.

Lyrics:
I’m feeling like telling you something
Something that’s been on my mind
Don’t you look at my face
I want you to Look inside
And you’re starting to smile
But I’m wanting you to frown
I wish you knew my desire
So I could let it drown
And can’t you see
That you’re bothering me
I just want you to feel
A little more like

Meeeeeeee
A little more like me
My perspective
It’s better on the ground
To think negatively
Seeeeee
A little more like me
My connections
It’s better to be bored
And cynical
Weeeeeee
Need a little more fear
Some understanding
Some rationality
And I’m wanting to
Think
Optimistically
But it’s harder now
To live with my head in the sand

Everything that you tell me
Seems like such a sham
I’m wishing for something exciting
Something with a bam
And You’re taking the easy road
And You’re living your life bland
I feel I’m growing sicker
When wave your hand
And you’re talking in circles
Like a traffic jam
I wish that you’d think darker
A little more like

Meeeeeeee
A little more like me
My perspective
It’s better on the ground
To think negatively
Seeeeee
A little more like me
My connections
It’s better to be bored
And cynical

You can't take away
My intuition
You can't take away
My own position
You can't make me feel
Your own feelings
Your bitter pill
Is not your decision

You can't take away
My intuition
You can't take away
My own position
You can't make me feel
Your own feelings
Your bitter pill
Isn't your decision

nice tune. Very well put together, was fun to listen to. The weeeee and seeee parts etc, could have had more umph. Seemed like you held back a bit on those. Other than that good tunes, good lyrics...good overall!
thx

Yes, I wanted to scream it but unfortunately I was recording vocals at midnight and didn't want to wake anybody up.

I like the intro and general melody. The lyrics are awesome. The voice gets out of tune when you push hard.Your voice is fairly unique and I think a potentially great voice to to have something serious going and further develop. The tuning is something that can be addressed with more practice. Some frequencies are a bit overloaded  in the mix ,but the arrangements are great. The harmony works nicely!

great song. evrything is really cool and works well, particuarly the drums in the verses, the toms sound cool... You could try doubling up youre vox on the meeee and seeee parts to give them more power without screaming. yeah, great lyrics

good job

Ian
