Just wanted to post something random!
Im sure some of you have tried to do a recording that emulates a famous sound, or famous song that you like.
Well, this is my attempt at the intro to Welcome Home (Sanitarium) by Metallica . Its quite old but I was quite pleased with the feel I got on it!

yes I agree the mix is far too bright but I mastered it a long time ago when I was a complete noob and unfortauntely i dont have the unmastered version available to redo it!

dont really remember how i got the guitar tone tho just kinda came together!

Honestly, if you'd be behind mix in recording room, there no doubts
you will create a sound which band/interpret is after.

I think it's hard to emulate live drums perfectly, but overall I'm pleased with final
effect.

very cool ,  the guitar tones do sound a lot like metallica.  very good mix nice and clean, good dynamics, very crisp and the instruments have separation (not cluttered)... I too would like to hear more.
