I've been fiddling with roughening up my vocal sound. Did i take it too far? (To a Bright Eyes/Elliot Smith extreme)

lovin those lyrics, sounds good, wish i could hear it in better quality, and slightly more filled out with some more instruments, don't really listen to much bright eyes, and don't even know who elliot smith is ha, so i can't give you advice on that but your voice sounds alright except for a few high notes you have trouble reaching, but all in all a nice tune
