Prelude #3 (JSB)

This song is not in a battle

From the Well Tempered Clavier. Trying for both a techno and a folksy sound at the same time. Based on thought experiment of what would JSB be doing if alive today with full access to modern equipment. The basis for this idea is that classical musicians always used the latest and best equipment they could obtain, so the obsession with classical music only being played on period instruments bothers me.

classical..dude,
never down yourself.. this is great!!! I mean
mean, hey there are several of us that in
fact started with classical training! me, was
a classical trained pianist in my youth..
they started me at 4yrs old.. and for the next
ten years I rebelled as much as I could get
away with!! Now I wish, ya know??
But again there are quite a few of us in
various countries here that started that way
and will quickly tell you that you have nothing
to feel belittled about!! You are definitely very
proficient at your craft and should never doubt
that! nor the way your performances will be
received.. as even those that are deep rooted
in the most primitives of musical styles all
do appreciate an intermediate practitioner of
the classics!!!  in saying "this is great", that
does mean "You Are Great!!!" too!!!

Blessings,

Blue

Yeah, classical muscicians always used the latest and best equipment they could obtain and they did the best they could with it. In my opinion, if Bach lived today he wouldn't be trying to do with a synth the same things he could easily do with an hapischord... But the experiment sounds pretty nice.
