Vanilla

This song is not in a battle

Inspired by the Smashing Pumpkins. Happy with about everything except the vocals (as usual)

Lyrics:
Hold on
Before all is gone
Sterilize your thoughts
Your thoughts
Stay Clear
Keep nobody near
Make yourself
Vanilla

Come down
Get out of the crowd
Keep yourself strange
No more vanilla
Come up
Get yourself unstuck
Keep yourself weird
No more vanilla

They want
Want you to conform
Follow
And be vanilla
They feel
To keep away the fear
To keep you insane
To be vanilla
They need
Need in the machine
Machine your self
And be vanilla
Beware
Beware and prepared
Keep yourself ensnared
And be vanilla

Come down
Get out of the crowd
Keep yourself strange
No more vanilla
Come up
Keep yourself unstuck
Keep yourself weird
No more vanilla

They know
They know a life’s a joke
But they don’t care, they’re just vanilla
I see
I see you’re just a freak
But I don’t care, I’m not vanilla
We need
Need a great crusade
Against the great charade
Don’t be vanilla
Prepare
Like somebody cares
Like somebody wants
No more vanilla

Come down
Get out of the crowd
Keep yourself strange
No more vanilla
Come up
Keep yourself unstuck
Keep yourself weird
No more vanilla
Come down
Get out of the crowd
Keep yourself strange
No more vanilla
Come up
Keep yourself unstuck
Keep yourself weird
No more vanilla

Let's see:
That guitar sound awful man, sorry! You just, first try to take off that plastic sound, then compress, equalize and finally adjust the volume and panning.
Vocally, is not bad at all, but there are tuning problems that should be solved; you are not getting to the right tones.
Sometimes I feel the song overall like a mass of sound. Try to work on the equalizing.
BTW; this is not exactly my taste on music.

I like it...

It would be nice if the synth part in the chorus was played on bells.

I have to agree with Iszil, the guitar could sound better, or maybe if you put it lower in the mix some of the other stuff would be easier to hear.

What are you talking about? The guitar is the only part I like

-I see the influence. I think the guitar sounds cool, sounds similar to the type of tone used in Cherub Rock, or Siva.
-However, the other guys are right, you should bring it down a bit in the mix, and then bring the drums up.
-Vocals sound nice, very Pumpkin-esque.
-Also, bring up the synth in the chorus, and maybe change the drums around, to add more cymbals, then it'll sound more like a chorus. Also, you may want to double the vocals for the chorus. Just things to make it sound more like a chorus. Perhaps, only have one guitar track in the verses, panned centre, then two in the chorus, panned left and right.
