Coming Home V2 Flyer_Blue

This is the placeholder for a new MP3 player

This song is not in a battle

Hope you like it.. please let us know!

here's a rough lyric to match.. there's a few inconsistencies,
didn't get time to complete the lyric text edit..

I'm Coming Home

Intro
Baby Im on the plane
It feels like our west bound train
Im coming home, coming home to you

a lady’s sits next to me
she sees the pages of our memories
she leans over so she can see
she loves your smile
all the while you see

I've been away for so long
But now I’m coming home
She said she
loves what she sees..
{                    }
with a sparkle in her eyes
she sees how your heart always flies
yes it always flies with me.

there's a white feather on my knee
a halo of gold is in her seat
I swear she was sitting
right next to me
{next to me}

she's holding onto your hand,
on your cloud with you I stand,
our vow’s of love for all to see..

she placed your her hand in mine,
until she felt how our hearts entwined
and now she knows your love for me..

Baby Im on this plane
I remember our love’s refrain,
Im coming home coming home to you

I’ve been away for so long,
But now I’m coming home,
Yes now I’m coming home to you.

yes
This is more like what I was thinking on the delivery of the vocal... Now, it could also use some voice overs

   Make it real....

well ya see.....
Ralph, it's like this other song I have,
have deliberately kept it till this time
when we moved in here... we found
the last lyric sheet editorial the first
week we were here... she tried to give
it to me and I made the mistake of
telling her to put it up exactly where
she found it so she wouldn't loose it
or forget it.. well she can't remember
where that was... (pout) and it may
just be that one perfect song that every
one of us has in us trying to come out..
so guess I'll wait another 15 years
before it will ever have anyone hear
a version of it finally get recorded...
I have hook lines, choruses, single verses,
that all I gotta do is write a few of them
down, but have never been able to add
anything to them..

oh well.. lol

Jim, yea, gotta do a quick hack at Cubase and
try to get it recorded then we'll re-cut the vocal
and add the harmonies.. I liked Ralph's idea to
use an echo type vocal harmony at the end of
the two main riff's..

Better vocal delivery that matches the mood the piano has created better.  I'd love to hear vocal harmonies and a chorus going "ooh and ahh" in the background; gospel-choir style.

The piano is a little off-time in several places--it sounds MIDI to me, so that should be easy to fix.

Very nice delivery!
A bit reverby (but I have this thing with reverb on vocals lol )
Agree with all thats been said, some Ooos and Aaaas and harmonies definitely !
As midi as that piano sounds and the timing on a few notes it is still very 'real' and sounds wholesome, played with passion!

hey..
thanks guys.

it's my yamaha 88 key weighted key controller that I'm
playing for the real feel.. but the sound is a concert grand
sound being generated by a Korg M3r rack mount module..
other then my yamaha FB01 and TG100 modules, it is the
best grand sound I have heard yet.. I was told that the korg
m3r pcm card set rsc-5s which is piano sounds and combinations
of patches, has a grand sound on there that is still the industry
standard for synth grand sounds..
I would like to someday complete my card set library.. I have
six complete sets and two partial sets.. oh well someday..

Wow! Lovely playing!  Just really nice!  Vocals are little muffled and distant.  Overall just beautiful!

thanks Bro!!
was a tune I had been carrying around with me over thirty something
years...  the lyrics are a re-write of Flyer's words, thoughts and massive
ideas.. I think dude is an "un-registered genius" in his own right ya know...
well at least now I have all these new songs to go with all those old songs
that need professionally re-recording!! rofalol...  I Digress!!!

Blessings,

Dan

p.s. Thanks Tom!!!!

p.s.s. Ralph, ya just can't stay away neither huh? me too!! ;-)

Yup, I like this one guys.

Decent construction, simple but very nice vocal melody

Small issues in the recording still... Ralph's voice is slightly over processed, and not quite in keeping with the recording of the keys - all of this is nothing really, and doesn't detract from the mood of the song.

Vocal harmonies needed... and perhaps strings, and a very light percussion too IMO.  Oh, and the ending is a little too abrupt!

Nice stuff though

Hey Bro...
but it's your lyrics really. I only edited them
and rearranged the piano to fit... The beautiful
thought you were having when you wrote the
rough draft was awesome..  really took a person
deep into a dream state of it all...

blessings,

blue
