This song is not in a battle

took me 5 minutes to write, two days to record..
very loose production, as I am tired and just figured
right now I would settle for this.. I know I shouldn't
settle for anything, but I am this for now!
I do hope you like it..  figured I would do the trombone
part for Fish..  here it is peeps!

Highest Ratings, my friend!  Wow! very nice. the trombone is slightly loud in the mix, but overall Id say its damn near perfect! Good Show!  Im Dling this one, Blue.  Like you said, this one will have special meaning.

This is the stuff my wife and (girl kids) like. Me and the boy are heavier most of the time, but I can definitely relate! Watch for GuitarKen and I'll be there....

I like your vox. and the melody is sweet.

I think the tones of the bass and guitar clash, It could sound better with an acoustic guitar, which will blend nice with you vox too.

If you recorded the guitar with a mic, I would take down the bass a few Db, or even if you record direct I would do the same.

Great quality of recording although I know you said the mix is a little off. Really present voice. Love the jazzy/blues guitar.  The trombone is fun. Just a sweet , cozy song. I  REALLY like it.

Your vocals are too loud--they kill the guitar.  They also have too much reverb, I think.

You know I love your songwriting, and this is no difference.  I love the descending bassline of the "sunday morning" phrase.

The trumpet is a bit much.

nice. I dont know what keyboard you have but I think the trombone sounds too fake. a song this good deserves the real thing. a real trombone, mixed properly would sound sweet. very nice songwriting

lol, sounds like a good setup. and you actually have a real trombone. you must need like half a house to keep that gear in.

Loving the semi-tone drops on this. You got a great voice dude. Bass is lovely.
Synth kind of ruined it (but hey we're all musicians! We can replace those cheesey polyphonic synth with our imagiations ). Very nice melody.
Sometimes when you say Mornin' reminds me of an English Punk lol .

This makes me want to pick up alot of Western Country music. Although depressing, this actually brought my disposition of one of elation ;D. Cheers =D this is gonna be stuck in my head now.

Was Macht Du?
SS, thanks to you and skeleta.. if I am that
able to reach younger generations, it might
make a difference in some of the influences..

aar0j, I really appreciate that.. you are the
first to state what it was I was doing.. others
may have also gotten it, but you said some
thing about it out loud.. I am of course talking
about the semi-tone drops in there.. notice
that they're not random..  thanks again bro.

borris, yes I have a couple of different
instruments.. and a few other pieces of
equip. too.. we have a little house, three
b/r, two half grown kids, my wife and
a semi-closed in one car garage that holds
the startings of two studios.. my audio -
video multi-media studio and then in
the top end of the room is space for
a half stage for photographic work..
i.e. portraits and shots for album covers,
layouts, etc etc.. since that half of the room
shares space with a washer and dryer,
so in that same side of the top part of the
room, I have my leather bench.. a huge
shelving unit on the wall that holds well
over a thousand dvd's and that is shared
with a undetermined amount of vhs's,
albums, and cassettes.. then about eight
hundred audio cd's...  be glad when I can
transfer all this mess to a few tera-byte sized
smart cards (mini chipd) and get red of the
bulk... but add an 11 piece trap set at the
other end of the room just to balance it out
and make things all cozy..

Blessings, and thanks again guys,

Danny - BluEyes
