I Like The Rains (collab)
*
This is the placeholder for a new MP3 player

This song is not in a battle

Collaborative lyrics between Wisdom (initial surge of creativity), alittlepaperdoll and Blueyes (structure)and myself.

I apologize for the relatively poor recording quality, but it's the best I'm going to get given the equipment I have available here.

The song isn't finished--one day I'll record this properly with better equipment, and that day I'll add a chorus I have in my head.

Enjoy.

very nice laid back song. makes me think of american countryside, sittin on a wooden porch chillin out. I love the harmonizing vocals, not so much the harmonica but thats just my personal taste.

Hey, this sounds cool!
The simplicity gives it a pretty good touch!
I like the voice duality. That definitely made the song for me.
Great job!

Nice work!  It has a very chilled out, Jack Johnson feel.  Jack Johnson being one of my favorite artists, that's a big plus point

It flows very nicely.  All I would say is up the vocals a bit in the mix and maybe give them just a touch more mid range..?

Sounds great, though!

When you do record it again why don't you move it up one?
Start with the two voices and come in earlier with the Ooo Ooo's!
Very very very nice song and I love the two voices, you 'go off' slightly at one point but otherwise it's really beautiful.

I agree with Kings in that I really love the double vox.  It give such a nice texture to the song and doesn't overpower the guitar at all.  I like the oohs, too!!!!   I would love to hear this song in its completion. Good work guys!

First thing I thought was "jack johnson" Work on the vocals and thats pretty much "hit" quality. I don't really like the harmonica, it clashes really bad with the rest of this great song. Maybe if you mixed it down and added a filter, it could work.
