This song is not in a battle

for some reason, i some songs are missing off of my list thing, i couldn't delete the original cause its not on the list to delete? well confused :/
'sycophant' is one of those words i'm obsessed with and use it at every oportunity, reguardless of context...like a little kid with a dictionary
the lyrics are kinda a bit mean... im not really that mean....

lyrics

i'm on pubwatch on my 18th birthday
my bras don't fit, my hairs always dirty
i probably swear more often than i should.
don't wanna meet your parents for dinner on sunday,
and no i don't wanna squirt your kid out one day,
you know i wont do you any good.

your petty chivelry,
is nothing to me.
your overblown gestures
are as useful as the monarchy, oh...

oohah, were you expecting a love song?

were you expecting a love song?
i'm not a sycophant like you.
were you expecting a love song?
i'm not a sycophant like you.

and all those times you thought i was being good,
i was probably dragging your name through the mud,
and its such a shame, its such a waste,
such a sweet boy, such a pretty face.
boys like you are never mine,
boys like you just waste my time,
but i've got a lot of time to waste,
so i guess i've got a lot of boys to taste.

sycophant...
(oooh, were you a expecting a love song?)
you sycophant...
(oooh)
im not a sycophant... you know me better than that, you know me better than that.
(oooh were you expecting a love song?)

sycophant...
you sycophant...
im not a sycophant... surely you know me better than that.

Oh Snap!  I didnt see this version before I reviewed the other.  Again, vinyl static and the slightly in the back sounds create an awesome Lo-Fi sound!  The layered vox is supa sweet!  The mix could use a slight bit of help but you are way ahead of the game compared to some Ive heard around here.

Fantastic.  I love the accent (almost strange to hear it as I had one similar to it years ago), and the layered vocals are fantastic.  The lyrics are da-a-rk.  I don't know if you were expecting them to turn out like that, but it works with the music.  As you may or may not have heard me comment before, I'm not a huge fan of this type of music, but the beat goes well with the song, and the focus is definitely on the vocals and words.

The breakdown at the end with the distant wailing reminded me of Tarja Turunen, which is awesome.

Your best work yet?  Yeah, I think so.

I want to do a song or a few with you.

I have to second avinashv's comment
The accent really makes the song shine, so much better than generic singing voices you hear so often these days. Normally this kind of music is not my thing, but I had to hear it to end because of the voice, you have talent, hope you keep it up and get lots of success.
