Moody dark heavy keys and drums starting this "happy" song!
I like the pop-tart jingly bits over the top, which do indeed give it a happy feeling.

This does have a bit of a techno classic pc-game-music feel to it.  I can see those lemmings now.

It's sounds happy to me. It's a good foundation to work from, there 's not enough happy tunes in this world so, give it large and give it's some mega happy vox!!!!

Think it would be better to bring the melody line from the start, or perhaps round the bass a bit, take off some of the middle and it should work.
