This song is not in a battle

Cheezy pop song with simple chords. Enjoy!

Lyrics:
They had asked us what we were thinking
They wondered who we were
They had told us it was impossible
But he we are, sitting on the moon

And I can see where we had come from
And I can see where we’re going to

They had asked you where you were going
They had told us of all the costs
We had barely even started
Before they told us to go home

And I can see where had come from
And I can see where we’re going to

They had asked you to serve your countrymen
But really they meant to serve the tax man
They were concerned with their popularity
They were concerned with things in the news

And I can see where had come from
And I can see where we’re going to

And I remember what you said to me
When we were sitting on the moon

The Earth is setting on the countryside
The stars they twinkle in the sky
And we are sitting on the moon

a bit rough
reminds me of... an emo version of Hootie and the Blowfish meets Creed

sounds clipped, a bit rough around the edges, volume levels need to be adjusted

other than that, i do like the feel that you're going for, need to smoothe out the mix though

Love the organ, the vocals pretty cool too. I used play things like this in my youger days.

Nothing wrong in producing a cheezy pop song, hey keep the feel positive dude.

I would have liked the drums to have come through more in the mix, it may be you have too much bass, which is why it sounds a bit clipped, bur easlily resolved.
