This is one of my dads songs, Made with an old Korg synthesizer and a 4 track old reel 2 reel tape recoder. Thinking of redoing it.

not bad. redoing it is a good idea, could make it sound great. Im not a fan of too much sythesizing, im more a fan of good old acoustic and elec guitar, bass guitar and drums maybe with a real piano...

yeh like Roxle said, synth no good! it will sound much better with real intruments.

Not bad quite Kraftwerk ish or air... Not especially my favorite genre but i like air and kraftwerk and this sounds quite like them... I would maybe bring the tempo down ever so slightly when you re-record it... Keep em coming

This isn't bad. Giving it a new lease of life would be interesting. I think that there's nothing wrong with keeping the synths prominent - this kind of song lends itself to synths more than guitars, violins, and drumkits - everything has its place.

i think that lead synth piece should sound even more synthy and waspy, maybe even with a harmony part to it that's higher.  heck, if you did it right, i'd buy something like that for twice what you'd sell if for

I love the sound of the old Korg... and the poppy style is ... like kraftwerk versus soft cell and gary numan. analog quality doesn't bug me at all. your dad... he wear eyeliner, no???


Interesting - I can hear an industrial metal remake of this little thingie here. Marylin Manson should be giving it a go.
