Goodbye. |
Arg. This keeps happening. I write a moderatley good song, and I can't sing it correctley. Perhaps I should write songs that sound good with my singing first, then add in the rest.
Lyrics:
It’s nearing the end
And all I can think
Is how much I’m
going to miss you
you were my friend
And all I can think
Is how much you’re
Going to miss me
Can you set me free
Just make me believe
Before we say goodbye
It’s gone so fast
Faster than I can
think its ever gone
Time it passed
Faster than I could
Ever imagine it
Can you set me free
Just make me believe
Before we say goodbye
Goodbye
Goodbye
Goodbye
Can you set me free
Just make me believe
Before we say goodbye
It’s already gone
And before we sing a song
Turn the lights out
Before you leave
Please sing along
Turn the lights out
Goodbye

There is potential to make this song sound better, which will make you feel better and approach it in a more positive way than you are at the moment, there is nothing wrong with your voice.
The foundation is the key, I think there is too much distortion in the song, which will effect how your vocals will sound, also the pan in the mix is unothordox. I would keep the pan in for the vox in the middle, it will give the music more space. the drums will also be more difined if you do this.
I'm not an expert with a distorted sound, but i've found there is a fine line of when it becomes noise, and if you add too much reverb it will sound 'washed out', more often than not less is more, I've been advised when your adding reverb, start from a zero setting and at the point where you can hear it kick in, fine tune it.
