Enjoy the Pure
*
Score: 81.5%
Rank: 1st
Battle: 2007-07

Joint production of TritonKeyboarder and me! Produced in Germany in the beautiful Harz mountains, this is a song that we quickly put together and features some of the lovliest vintage equipment: there's an actual Rhodes in there, aswell as the portable Yamaha QY-10 which I brought along, and we used an Atari ST for midi sequencing.

We hope you enjoy!

Wow!...this is great! Inventive collections of sounds, chord structure, vocal delivery, all with a really satisfyingly funked-up groove. Nice swinging Rhodes lead in there by TK.(I really like how the song transitions into a more jazzy chord structure with a softer sound during that break, very subtle and well-crafted.... creates really nice contrast/dynamics) Great dramatic effect of the song overall! This is a keeper! (Download city!!)

Well guys,

first thanks for the nice comments and the time spending listening to this piece. And thanks to Puppet to come along with his nice (ancient) equipment. Good to see you liked it. Seriously I like it too and it was a great thing to do it with PX in real here in Germany. It will be unforgotten esp. cause it is published now. Today PX is leaving the town and is almost on the way back home.

We spent one day making this and I have the feeling that it is not finished. I could do so many thngs with the tune but Puppet said that it is enough and we should keep it as it is. OK I'll keep it as it is and believe me I listened to it hundreds of times.

And it is a premiere: It's the first time I recorded my Rhodes into a song.
And another premiere: It's the first official collaboration with PuppetXeno.

Hope there is coming more.

Again thank you all

Yeah great work!
that bridge with the rhodes soloing is a nice touch.
I thought you were going to repeat the 'chorus' once again towards the end but you didn't. Actually I'm intrigued why did you sing the chorus line only once?
Cheers

Wow, this is so amazing! I love how it changes. Some bits are vintage sounding, but in a good way and others are really spacey.
Very good production...just...ace really!
